Honor today introduced the 2022 MagicBook X14 and MagicBook X16 laptops. The novelties are built on Intel Alder Lake processors: in there is a 10-core Core i5-1235U, in the top one there is also a Core i5, but already a 12-core i5-12500H. The amount of RAM for all devices is the same - 16 GB, the storage subsystem is represented by a 512 GB SSD without alternative.
The equipment of the younger model included an IPS screen with a diagonal of 14 inches and a resolution of 2240 x 1400 pixels. The older one received an IPS panel with a diagonal of 16.1 inches and a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Both matrices cover 100% of the sRGB color space, which is not bad in itself.
The novelties are traditionally made in metal cases. There is no data on autonomy, but here you can focus on the level of predecessors.
Sales in China will start on September 22. The cost does not depend on the diagonal: the version with the Core i5-1235U is priced at $670, the cost of the version with the Core i5-12500H is $715. These prices are for the first buyers, retail laptops will be a little more expensive.
