Canalys analysts assessed the PC market in the US in the third quarter. As it turned out, sales fell by 12%, to 17.8 million units.
Laptop sales fell the most, down 14%. At the same time, sales of desktop PCs grew, albeit only by 1%.
The market leader is Dell, followed by HP, Apple, Lenovo and Acer. Among them, only Apple and Acer increased sales by 26.5% and 14%, respectively, while the rest of the companies from the list of leaders sank.
If we talk about the tablet market, which analysts considered separately, then Apple is in the lead, followed by Amazon, Samsung, TCL and Microsoft. Here, only Amazon and TCL have already shown growth, and the latter by an incredible 133.2%. Analysts explain this only by intensifying marketing efforts.
