Doritos releases app for streamers that uses AI to drown out the crunch of crisps

Nachos brand Doritos has unveiled an app for streamers that uses machine learning to drown out the crunch of chips in voice chat. So the interlocutors and viewers of the broadcast can not be distracted by the sharp sounds of the snack.

The Doritos Crunch Cancellation app was developed by Glassworks, and the entire action is timed to coincide with the brand's advertising campaign on streaming platforms. Now Doritos is promoting the development in Spain, for this the company launched a separate website, and popular Spanish streamers use this program during broadcasts.

Each user can install Doritos Crunch Cancellation on their computer, but the system will only work if the computer is built on Nvidia RTX 20 and 30 series graphics cards. The thing is that the application works on the basis of Nvidia RTX Voice technology.

The Doritos Crunch Cancellation installer is 645MB, but during installation, the app decompresses to 880MB. Also, file analysis showed that the Doritos program contains a large number of Nvidia files and plugins. The application also needs a VB-Audio Cable to work, which transfers audio between programs.

The application itself has a slider that allows you to adjust the filter sensitivity, and if you watch streamers broadcast, you will notice that the crunch sound is really no longer audible.
