GAC has released the first official images of its new compact crossover, which goes by the name GAC Trumpchi A79.
It is expected that the car will be the successor to the 2017 GS3 model and will receive a modern design with a lot of sharp edges and sharp corners.
LED headlights will be made up of two triangles connected to each other, in addition, multi-spoke alloy wheels with a diameter of 18 or 19 inches will complement the futuristic image of the crossover.
The GAC Trumpchi A79 is expected to be built on a modular GMPA platform. The Ministry of Industry and Informatization of the People's Republic of China has already confirmed that the car will be equipped with a 1.5-liter 4A15J2 gasoline engine, which develops 177 hp. The regulator also leaked the first live photos of the car.
In terms of body dimensions, the crossover will be between the Hyundai Creta and Tucson: its length, width and height will be 4410, 1850 and 1600 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase will be 2650 mm.
A full presentation of the car should take place in the coming weeks.
