Chinese smartphone manufacturers continue to develop their own semiconductor solutions. Oppo has revealed that it will soon introduce the MariSilicon X Gen 2 image processor.
As the name implies, this is the second generation, the first one debuted in the Find X5 Pro. While there are no details on what will be the difference between the new chip and the old one, Oppo is talking about some breakthrough developments aimed at numerous innovations.
The new chip will be unveiled on December 14 at the Oppo Inno Day event. Then the company can tell in which smartphone MariSilicon X Gen 2 will appear for the first time. But, most likely, it will be Find X6 Pro, the image of which we saw today.
At one time, the cameras of both Find X3 Pro and Find X5 Pro were highly rated, including by DxOMark experts. Even now, these devices are ranked 26th and 21st, respectively, in the overall ranking, bypassing the iPhone 12 Pro.
