Avtostat experts conducted a study "Safety of the residual value of a car" to determine the models of Russian brands that have the best residual value in the 3rd quarter of 2022. And the leaders in the ranking are Niva and UAZ cars.

The leader is Lada Niva Legend, which, three years after the purchase, has an average Residual value index of 134%. Simply put, a car bought in the third quarter of 2019 can now be sold for 34% more than the purchase price. Of course, as is the case with all other machines, this is due to the current market realities.

In second place is the UAZ "Hunter" with a 2.7-liter engine and a manual transmission. Its index averages 131.5%. The third line of the rating is occupied by another UAZ car - "Patriot", equipped with the same engine and manual gearbox. Its index is 127.3%.

Thus, we can conclude that among Russian brands, in the context of the study, Russians value SUVs the most, and often technically very old and simple.
