India decided to fight Android

India is really going to fight Android and at least partially replace it with its own operating system.

For the first time, rumors about this appeared a few days ago. Then the system was called IndOS, but now it was actually announced under the name BharOS.

The Minister of Education and Minister of Skills Developmentrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan spoke about the platform. There are few details yet, because the announcement is preliminary.

It is known that BharOS can be installed on ordinary commercial smartphones, the system will have an emphasis on security, will not be able to run malware and will not transfer user data anywhere. In addition, third-party app stores will work in the system, and it will be delivered without any native software at all.

BharOS is a trust-based mobile operating system with a focus on giving users greater freedom, control and flexibility to select and use only the applications that suit their needs. This innovative system promises to revolutionize the way users think about security and privacy on their mobile devices.

When BharOS will appear on mass-produced smartphones, what it is based on and what other features it will have in comparison with Android is still unknown.
