Google announced that it will hold a presentation on February 8, where it will talk in more detail about its developments in the field of search and artificial intelligence. Experts believe that the company will introduce a competitor to ChatGPT and show the new possibilities of AI-based search technologies.
The event will take place in Paris on February 8 at 17:30 Moscow time, while the presentation will be broadcast on the official YouTube channel of the company. Google announced the event after CEO Sundar Pichai said that in the near future, users will be able to interact with "the latest and most powerful language model as a search companion."
Pichai also noted that thanks to the early research of Google, generative models began to appear, which are gaining popularity now. Experts believe that the company is making quick decisions due to the popularity of ChatGPT. After the success of the service from OpenAI, opinions began to circulate on the Web that soon people would stop using the usual search engines. Also, other IT giants have already started integrating ChatGPT into their own products. So support for the OpenAI model has already appeared in Microsoft Teams Premium and will appear in Bing search in the near future.
