Now only hybrids, but up to 750 Nm of torque, Burmester acoustics and a steering rear axle

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new crossover GLC Coupe. This is a 2024 model year car, but it will go on sale this year. True, there is no date for the start of sales yet, just as there are no prices.

But the characteristics are known. For example, now all GLC Coupes are hybrids. Moreover, all versions are equipped with two-liter gasoline or diesel engines. The base will be mild hybrids with a 48-volt starter-generator. Gasoline cars in this case will have a power of 208 or 258 hp, and diesel cars will offer 197 or 269 hp. Of course, diesel engines will have higher torque: 440 or 550 Nm versus 320 or 400 Nm. The most dynamic version will accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.

There will also be plug-in hybrids with a 136-horsepower electric motor. In this case, the petrol variants will develop either 313 or 381 hp, and the diesel crossover will produce 335 hp. In the latter case, the torque will reach 750 Nm! Such hybrid versions will be able to travel exclusively on electric power for about 110-130 km at speeds up to 140 km/h. The most dynamic version will accelerate to hundreds in 5.6 seconds.

Of the rest, we can note the trunk with a volume of 545 liters, 20-inch wheels in the top versions, a 12-inch screen of the multimedia system and almost the same diagonal dashboard display, Burmester sound system. One of the most unusual options is the swivel rear axle. The wheels can turn up to 4.5 degrees.
