The press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency announced a decrease in the number of aviation incidents in Russia over the 11 months of 2023. The number of cases decreased by 1.3%, amounting to 670 incidents.

The official statement emphasizes that today there is no trend towards an increase in the number of air incidents in Russian air transport.

It is noted that the decrease in the number of incidents occurred in parallel with an increase in aircraft raids. Over the 11 months of 2023, this figure grew by 6.5%, reaching 1.85 million hours compared to the same period last year.

Mikhail Vasilenkov, head of the aircraft airworthiness department of the Federal Air Transport Agency, noted that the actions of aviation enterprises contribute to ensuring a high level of flight safety.

Updated: as it became known, the Rostec state corporation plans to complete the construction and delivery of no more than one of the three planned Tu-214 aircraft this year. Operation of this aircraft will begin no earlier than 2024.
