Nvidia introduced a video card with 48 GB of memory and 1.1 PFLOPS of tensor performance

Nvidia has introduced another video card with a gigantic amount of memory. The RTX 5880 Ada Generation adapter received 48 GB of GDDR6 memory with a frequency of 20 GHz.

Of course, this is not a gaming video card, but a professional graphics accelerator. However, technically, there is almost no difference between such a product and the RTX 40 3D cards, except for the amount of memory.

The new model is one step below the flagship RTX 6000 Ada Generation and is based on the same AD102 GPU, but with 14,080 active CUDA cores.

The card also offers a 384-bit memory bus, which ultimately gives a throughput of 960 GB/s. TDP is 285 W, which is not due to the highest core frequency.

The performance of the new product in FP32 mode is 69.3 TFLOPS, the performance of the RT cores is 160.2 TFLOPS, and the tensor performance is 1.1 PFLOPS.
