Volkswagen plans to present an updated version of the Golf family by the end of this month, but photographs of the hatchback in GTI and GTE versions, which were taken at a closed presentation, have already appeared on the Internet.
The front bumper of the hatchback was modified, the air intakes changed and characteristic “fangs” were added. The car received new headlights, updated running lights and an LED strip along the edge of the hood. The “light signature” of the rear lights has also been rethought, which will likely depend on the trim level.
The new Volkswagen Golf will feature a large central display and physical buttons on the steering wheel instead of touch controls.
There is no information about engines yet. It is assumed that the engine range will generally remain the same, but power units can be upgraded to reduce fuel consumption and emissions of harmful substances.
Previously, Volkswagen published sketch images of the future new product. Meanwhile, an updated version based on the current generation was presented in China.
