KamAZ is preparing to start production of K5 trucks in a modification with a narrowed and low-slung cab, as reported by the insider telegram channel Avtopotok.
This configuration is intended for firefighting and urban delivery vehicles. The photo shows a prototype of a ladder truck with a low-slung cabin.
In the spring, equipment for stamping cabin frame elements in this version will be delivered to the press-frame plant, as reported at the plant. Tests will begin in May, and the first samples will be produced in the fall of 2024.
The other day it was reported that KamAZ continues to localize K5 trucks. The cabin, inherited from the Mercedes-Benz Actros MP4, will be 100% localized.
