TikTok moderator sues bosses for traumatized psyche

TikTok content moderator Candy Fraser has filed a lawsuit against ByteDance, which owns the service, according to NDTV. The plai.jpg said that she and her 10,000 colleagues have to watch violent videos every day related to cannibalism, brutal murders, suicides, child pornography and animal abuse.

According to Fraser, TikTok requires moderators to work at a breakneck pace, watching thousands of videos over a 12-hour shift, with an hour's lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.

“Due to the huge amount of content, moderators are given no more than 25 seconds per video. You have to watch from three to ten videos at the same time, "- said the plai.jpg's lawyers.

Fraser pointed out in the lawsuit that she suffers from PTSD due to all the disturbing videos she has watched. She also called on other suffering moderators to join her in the class action lawsuit.
