Renders of the real Google Pixel 9 show the complete absence of a third, periscope, camera module

In January 2024, renders of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro appeared online, created by the famous network tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer, also known as OnLeaks. However, Hemmerstoffer himself has now revealed that there was a mix-up - the models depicted in the January renders are actually the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL - and shared the "correct" images of the Pixel 9.

The new renders are noticeably different from the previous ones, if only in that the Pixel 9 now lacks the third, periscope, module. The main camera is shown as double. Recall that in January it was assumed that Pixel 9 would be the first “non-professional” Pixel with a triple camera.

In addition, it can be noted that Pixel 9 will have rounded corners, a flat display and a central selfie camera.

The power button and volume keys are located on the right side. The smartphone will feature a 6.03-inch display, which is slightly smaller than the 6.1-inch display on the Pixel 9 Pro. The Pixel 9 measures 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5 mm and 12 mm including the camera bump.

Steve Hemmerstoffer has a long track record of creating authentic renders of various smartphones before they are announced. Such leaks include Samsung Galaxy S21, Huawei Mate 40, Pixel 5, Sony Xperia XZ4, Google Pixel 4 XL and much more.
