The Russian company Katyusha launched the production of printers and MFPs on its own printed circuit boards

The Russian company Katyusha has launched mass production of printers and MFPs using its own printed circuit boards. This is the first case of serial production of printers in Russia based on domestic printed circuit boards, according to the company’s website.

The production of printed circuit boards is established in the Leningrad region, and the assembly of MFPs and printers takes place in Zelenograd, near Moscow. Printed circuit boards installed in the brand’s printers have already been included in the Register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

MFPs with Russian boards can print up to 40 A4 sheets per minute with a resolution of 1200x1200 pixels. The devices are compatible with the domestic operating systems Viola and Red OS and offer support for remote printing through the Smart Print program, which is also included in the Ministry of Digital Development register. Thanks to this software, you can connect with smartphones and print documents using a QR code.

It is noted that the company’s products are presented not only in Russia, but also in the markets of Belarus and Kazakhstan. In Kazakhstan, Katyusha became the first printing equipment manufacturing company in the world to offer an MFP with an interface entirely in the Kazakh language, the company noted.

Previously, Fplus, a manufacturer of electronics for the corporate and public sector, launched near Podolsk the production of printers and multifunctional devices that combine printers, copiers and scanners.
