Delivery Club owners complain that the increased service charge negates the benefit of free shipping

As reported by Shopper’s, the owners of the paid Delivery Pro subscription complain about the increased service fee, which practically negates all the benefits of free delivery. They report that the fee has become "suspiciously similar" to the amount of delivery, reaching 149 rubles or, according to some reports, 179 rubles or even higher.

In the comments to the post on VC.RU, which the publication refers to, users published screenshots of their own orders in the app with and without subscription. The results turned out to be completely different - someone kept the previous amount of the collection in the amount of 29 rubles, for someone it grew, like the author of the original post. Some users noted that the fee for them increased significantly even without a subscription - from 29 rubles to 179 rubles. Users faced with the problem claim that they are going to refuse to use the service.

In response to an inquiry, Shopper's Delivery Club indicated that testing is underway, "due to which some users, subscribers or not, may see an increased service charge when ordering at some restaurants." The presence of a subscription does not in any way affect the amount of the fee. The service assured that even if the collection is increased, the total cost of an order with delivery for Delivery PRO subscribers will be lower than in other services.

This is not the first rise in delivery costs at Delivery Club this year. In particular, the service charge was introduced in May this year. It is at least 1 ruble per order and, most often, fixed - 29 rubles. In August, the service introduced an increased rate for delivery with high demand. It appears as a red arrow on the restaurant card. The lower the order amount, the higher the shipping cost, and vice versa. The Delivery PRO subscription was introduced in November. It offers free shipping on orders over 399 rubles, 30% off takeaway, 30% off restaurants from a selection of the service, and 100 rubles off orders from grocery stores and pharmacies over 999 rubles.
