Protected smartphone Redmi with IP68 on the way: all the characteristics are already known

In August 2021, Xiaomi introduced the RedmI Note 10 JE smartphone based on the Snapdragon 480 SoC, which meets the IP68 protection rating. The phone was exclusively available for purchase in Japan. Fresh information reveals that the company is currently working on a successor to this model, which will be called Redmi Note 11 JE.

According to Xiaomiui, the Redmi Note 11 JE is codenamed Lilac as well as the abbreviated model number K19K or the full number 22021119KR. It is reported that the phone will resemble the Redmi Note 11 5G in specs and design, which debuted in October 2021 in China.

That being said, the Redmi Note 11 JE should get the Snapdragon 480 Plus instead of the Dimensity 810 that the Note 11 5G has. It is expected to feature a 6.6-inch Full HD + display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It will have a 5000 mAh battery that supports fast charging.

The Note 11 JE's main camera will feature a Samsung JN1 50-megapixel image sensor. While the number of its rear cameras has yet to be confirmed, there is evidence that it will not feature an ultra wide-angle lens.

It is expected that Redmi Note 11 JE will run the Android 11 operating system with MIUI 13 installed on top. It will have a thickness of 8.75 mm and a weight of 195 grams. The phone will be IP68 rated, just like the previous model. The device will be available for purchase exclusively in Japan.

On the global market, the Redmi Note 11S should soon appear with a 90 Hz screen and record fast charging.
