The Chinese President Xi Jinping has proposed trilateral cooperation with India and Sri Lanka to address its security concerns in the Indian Ocean region amid increased Chinese involvement in mega projects in Sri Lanka, according to a media report.
Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister of Sri Lanka, Rauff Hakeem, who accompanied President Maithripala Sirisena on a four-day visit to China last week, has said that the Chinese President made the proposal for three-party talks with India and Sri Lanka when he met the Sri Lankan President, PTI reported.
