Nur-Sultan authorities say the city is provided with food

The press service of the akimat (mayor's office) of Nur-Sultan said that there is no shortage of food products in the capital of Kazakhstan, all shopping facilities are operating normally. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“We are monitoring shopping facilities in the city. There is no shortage of food products on the territory of the capital, ”said Deputy Akim of Nur-Sultan Yerlan Bekmurzaev.

The publication notes that to 6 checkpoints deployed along the perimeter of the capital, "from the first days, smooth work has been established to enter and deliver food products." The deputy akim also emphasized that there are no interruptions in the supply of food products, and all trade facilities are operating normally on the orders of the commandant.

Currently, Kazakhstan has a state of emergency until January 19, a curfew prohibits people from taking to the streets from 23:00 to 7:00.

Earlier it became known that access to the wired Internet was resumed in the capital of Kazakhstan.

Mass protests in Kazakhstan began on January 2 due to the rise in gas prices to 120 tenge and quickly escalated into riots and clashes with the police. On January 4, the government commission announced a reduction in the price of gas to 50 tenge.
