“This is purely a hobby. Sometimes friends invite us to clubs, we play acoustics there as a band. But now it is still on the brakes. In general, I like to listen to music more: heavy, dirty, closer to punk - like Exploited, ”Lesun said.

The pentathlete expressed interest in the musical interests of the famous football referee Sergei Karasev, who is a fan of the thrash metal band Slayer, plays the guitar himself, and sometimes even appears as a guest with the Catharsis group. Lesun admitted that it would be interesting for him to meet Karasev and talk with him about music.

“We need to get to know him, chat about it. But if we talk about playing the guitar - I really don't know how, so, I rattle on the seventh chords. Although it is frightening that among athletes they mainly listen to some kind of pop, rap.

I believe that high-level athletes should be educated. Alas, sometimes it is the other way around. I don’t want to say anything: rap is great too. But rock and roll is closer to the classics, it develops thinking. And it's huge! Wherever you dig, there are so many directions.

We, as rock 'n' rollers, are used to seeing them - dirty, long-haired. It is necessary to change the culture of perception, but this, unfortunately, is unlikely to happen soon, ”Lesun said.

He also noted Karasev's good athletic form. Lesun said that he saw the referee training at the base in Novogorsk and was impressed.

“He attended training camps in Novogorsk several times at the same time as us. When I saw how he was training, I noticed that he was doing better than football players, ”Lesun summed up.

Earlier Lesun sharply criticized Russian footballers, saying that they do not show the level that they should, given their salaries.
