A FIVE-YEAR-OLD boy who went missing in 2002 has been found alive and well 13 years later.

Julian Tiberius Hernandez was reported missing from Alabama in August 2002 after police suspected he was abducted by his father Bobby Hernandez.

Now, an 18-year-old in Ohio has been confirmed as the missing boy by police and FBI agents, who say he is safe and unharmed.

Bobby Hernandez, 53, is now facing abduction charges on top of a charge for giving false information to get a driver’s license in 2012.

According to a missing children database, the boy’s father agreed to take the child to preschool that day but instead withdrew money from his bank accounts and fled, taking some of the boy’s possessions with him.

Incredibly the discovery was made after Julian tried to apply for college as his social security number didn’t match his name and when a member of staff helped him find out why, it emerged he was on the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children database.

Special agent Vicki Anderson of FBI Cleveland, Ohio Division said the two have been living in Cleveland the whole time.
