The Soviet District Court of Omsk has arrested a man suspected of raping the 15-year-old daughter of his cohabitant for two months. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

“Sovetsky District Court, agreeing with the position of the prosecutor, chose the accused as a measure of restraint in the form of detention for a period of two months,” the department said.

According to law enforcement officers, the man has already been convicted eight times for theft and has an outstanding probation. On the night of January 13, the girl's mother was on the night shift, and the 38-year-old roommate raped her fifteen-year-old daughter. He was in a state of extreme intoxication.

Upon the arrival of the police, the suspect climbed onto a birch tree located not far from the house, to a rather high height. Law enforcement officers had to use special equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to remove him from the tree and deliver him to the department.

A friend of the mother of the victim, Svetlana, said that the suspect regularly beat his cohabitant and her daughter. In addition, he, according to her, was an unemployed drug addict and a heavy alcoholic.
