Between January 10 and 13, the Moscow traffic police identified 266 drivers with signs of intoxication on the capital's roads, the press service of the department reported.

In 114 motorists, the state of intoxication was confirmed, 133 refused to undergo a medical examination. Another 19 drivers got drunk behind the wheel again - they were deprived of their rights for such violations and may be prosecuted. It is noted that during these four days, accidents involving drunk drivers in Moscow were avoided.

From January 1 to 9, on the roads of the capital, employees of the State traffic inspectorate detained almost 600 drivers with signs of intoxication.

For driving while intoxicated or for refusing to undergo a medical examination, the driver will be fined 30 thousand rubles. and deprivation of the right to drive for a period of 1.5 to 2 years.

Earlier it became known that express tests for the instant detection of drunk drivers could be received by the traffic police as early as 2022.
