By the end of 2022, Haval plans to launch an engine manufacturing plant. The enterprise must provide more than 90% of the brand's cars with power plants. This was reported by the press service of the Chinese brand.

The assembly site will start working on the territory of the Uzlovaya industrial park in the Tula region. The Haval car manufacturing facility is also located there, where the F7, F7x, Jolion and H9 crossovers are produced. The production complex, opened in the summer of 2019, includes a stamping, welding, painting and assembly workshop, as well as a component production workshop.

At the end of 2021, sales of Haval cars in Russia more than doubled and amounted to 39.1 thousand cars. The brand took 12th place in terms of sales in the Russian Federation in the rating of the Association of European Businesses (AEB). This is the most popular Chinese auto brand in Russia last year. The total sales of Haval for the entire period of the brand's activity in Russia amounted to almost 74 thousand cars.
