A Texas synagogue hostage-taker demands the release of his terrorist sister. It is reported by ABC News, citing a source.

According to the source, the woman in question was sentenced to 86 years for the murder of an FSB agent. She is being held at Carswell Air Force Base in Texas.

Earlier it was reported that the hostage-taking in the American city of Colleyville, Texas was broadcast live, according to the Jerusalem Post.

During a social media broadcast, a gunman with a British accent can be heard saying, "If anyone tries to enter the building, I tell you...everyone will die."

After the capture, the broadcast lasted several minutes. On the recording, one could hear the militant threatening the hostages, and then it was interrupted.

The incident took place at the Beth Israel synagogue. Police are currently negotiating with the man who took the hostages, including community rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker. Police and the FBI Special Forces Team (SWAT) are on the scene.

Law enforcement officers evacuated residents of nearby areas and urged them to avoid the area around the synagogue.
