Rescuers at the Erciyes ski resort in Turkey found the body of UN coordinating member, Canadian citizen Michael Krift. It is reported by Huriyyet.

According to the publication, three people came to Kayseri from Gaziantep to go skiing and fell under an avalanche in the Hisardzhik Kapi valley.

Rescuers immediately found two people trapped in the snow and continued to search for a third skier in -25°C. They later found the body of Michael Krift, who was working in Gaziantep as a coordinating member of the UN.

Earlier it was reported that a skier died on a ski slope in Sochi after he fell into a snowdrift upside down.

In November last year, the famous Slovenian snowboarder Mark Grilk died during an unsuccessful descent from the slope in the ski resort of Sölden in Austria. He crashed into a snow-covered rock and hit his head on a stone. The cause of death was head trauma.
