Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rejected an appeal by the president of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Michel Platini, on suspension from football activities for 90 days. It is reported by the press service of the CAS.

CAS also advised the International Football Federation (FIFA) not to extend the suspension of the head of UEFA's on football activities. In accordance with the Code of Ethics of FIFA, if qualified as an "exceptional case" the ban could be extended for another 45 days.

"The CAS concluded that the extension of disqualification of Platini for up to 45 days is excessive and unjustified restriction of his right to access to justice, and will cause him irreparable harm – was said in the judgment. - Therefore, CAS recommended FIFA not to extend the current suspension, imposed on Platini".
