According to TASS, the 39-year-old master of sports in powerlifting will stay behind bars for another two months - until March 19.

Recall that in mid-July last year, a conflict broke out between men at one of the Blagoveshchensk camp sites. As a result, Alexander Kurdyukov received serious injuries, including a head injury. A few days later, the minister died in the hospital. The athlete who beat him was charged with causing grievous bodily harm, negligently resulting in the death of the victim.

The investigation of the criminal case is controlled by the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin.
