Earlier, the head of the Russian delegation at the talks in Vienna on military security and arms control, Konstantin Gavrilov, said that Facebook, after three days of blocking, restored access to the page of the Russian delegation. According to him, the unblocking "was helped by the support of the Russian Foreign Ministry, which turned to Facebook with a demand to explain the reasons for the blocking, as well as a powerful artillery salvo from Roskomnadzor."

Prior to this, after blocking the Facebook page of the Russian delegation, the diplomat turned to OSCE Secretary General Helge Schmid for support. At the same time, Anton Gorelkin, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, allowed the application of sanctions against Facebook.
