The storms which have battered Britain and Ireland show no signs of stopping, but one man has taken to the waves with a jaunty spirit, reports .

This video, shared online, shows a chap tackling the high water in the hamlet of Carrigahorig in County Tipperary, Republic of Ireland.

Except, instead of donning his wellies, this guy's out on his wakeboard.

Oisin Harding posted the video on Facebook , writing: "Been real Irish about things".

The video has had nearly 8,000 shares and many are thrilled at the ingenuity of the wakeboarder, as reported by our the Irish Mirror.
