The Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, put under control in the central office an inspection, which he instructed to do after receiving information about extortions from junior employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kamchatka. Relatives of the rescuers told Bastrykin's reception on VKontakte that the authorities of the center allegedly demanded that he be given part of his salary, as well as other payments.

Earlier, the head of the search team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Sakhalin was accused of taking bribes. The investigation believes that last summer the defendant intended to receive a bribe from the entrepreneur in the amount of about 300 thousand rubles in exchange for performing work in favor of a commercial organization. In addition, prior to his arrest, the accused received a total of 200 thousand rubles from a number of rescuers subordinate to him in the form of bribes for allowing some employees to work in a commercial organization.
