According to him, those who have already become infected will observe isolation until full recovery.

“Reducing the quarantine period is not for those who are sick, but for a person who has been in contact with someone who has become ill. Because the Omicron strain has a short incubation period that does not exceed 7 days,” the doctor explained.

Timakov noted that people who emerged from the seven-day quarantine will definitely not be contagious.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that Russia was reducing the quarantine period for coronavirus to seven days. She also did not rule out that in the future the terms will again be adjusted.
