The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) will strengthen control over fuel in the regions, the department's service reported.

The analysis of the situation will primarily be carried out for motor gasoline AI-92, AI-95, diesel fuel and liquefied hydrocarbon gases. Particular attention will be paid to monitoring stocks for each fuel supplier and their share in the oil product markets.

“A corresponding instruction to resume the work of operational headquarters has been sent to the territorial bodies,” the FAS wrote and noted that meetings of the headquarters will be held weekly.

The main task is the strengthening of control in the regions over the activities of participants in the oil products market and the adoption of measures in case of detection of signs of violation of the antimonopoly law.

Earlier, the Ministry of Energy said that Russia plans to increase the consumption of natural gas as a motor fuel. The energy department, together with the regions, will adjust the indicator for cities.
