Russia (bbabo.net) - The resonant story with the "child in the package" continued: the police identified the mother of the girl, thrown on the porch of a private house in the city of Ardatov. She turned out to be a 19-year-old student at a local college, the Interior Ministry for the Republic of Mordovia said on Thursday.
As I already wrote, a signal about the find was received the day before from the residents of the house on Polezhaeva Lane. On Epiphany morning the applicants found a package on their porch containing a newborn baby wrapped in a piece of cloth. The girl was hospitalized. Now she is in the Saransk hospital. There is no threat to her health.
The police managed to establish the whereabouts of the mother of the child within 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, she was a girl from the Dubensky district, who arrived in Ardatov to study. She was not registered for pregnancy and gave birth without medical assistance in a rented apartment. Now the PDN inspectors are working with the young mother: the reasons that prompted her to such an act are being established.
A criminal case has been initiated under article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Leaving in danger." The maximum sanctions for it include imprisonment for up to one year.
