A criminal case for insulting the feelings of believers was initiated after a blogger photographed a model in underwear against the backdrop of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque. This is reported by the regional department of the RF IC.
“According to the investigation, a group of persons, being near Vypolzov Lane in the city of Moscow, pursuing the goal of desecrating a religious shrine revered by believers - a Muslim mosque, publicly committed actions expressing clear disrespect for others, in order to insult the religious feelings of believers,” the report says.
The Investigative Committee clarified that they had established the identity and location of the suspect, born in 1981, and in the near future she would be taken to a subdivision of the department to carry out the necessary investigative actions with her.
Blogger Maria Katanova herself apologized and explained that she did not want to hurt and offend the feelings of believers with this shooting. She emphasized that she intended to exclude the wave of "hype" associated with photosets of people naked against the backdrop of temples and mosques across Russia.
In a post earlier on her page, there was a guide called "How not to do it" for promoting their accounts on the network. It was in this context that the provocative shooting on Prospekt Mira in Moscow was mentioned.
It also turned out that a passer-by, who allegedly accidentally saw a candid photo session against the backdrop of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, participated in the production. The video that appeared on the network shows how one of the girls, who acted as an accidental witness to the shooting on Mira Avenue, left the place with the model and her photographer.
