Russia (bbabo.net), - During the spread of the "omicron" strain of coronavirus, a small amount of lard and ghee should be added to the diet. This opinion was shared with the agency "Moscow" by the doctor of medical sciences, professor of the FMBA, nutritionist Margarita Koroleva.
Saturated fats are necessary for the functioning of the alveolar apparatus of the lungs. They are also part of cell membranes. During the spread of a new strain of coronavirus, the inclusion of lard and ghee will additionally support the body, Koroleva believes.
These fats are recommended to be consumed in the morning in reasonable amounts. "It would be useful to add a tablespoon of real fish oil and vitamin D3 to the diet," the expert emphasized.
Margarita Koroleva also recommends eating foods high in vitamin C. Sauerkraut is traditionally considered an ideal option.
At the same time, the nutritionist noted that the rejection of a number of products or intermittent fasting can lead to an additional decrease in immunity, which is dangerous during the period of the spread of "omicron".
