Deputy Minister of Transport Vladimir Tokarev, who was previously detained on charges of fraud, together with his accomplices, organized the conclusion of fictitious contracts, with the help of which he withdrew money from the accounts of a company controlled by him. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a law enforcement source.

Tokarev is also charged with misappropriation of funds allocated for the reconstruction of the railway section in the Krasnodar Territory.

Deputy head of the Ministry of Transport Vladimir Tokarev was charged with fraud on a large scale. According to preliminary data, from 2016 to 2018, as First Deputy General Director of SpetsTransStroy LLC, he attracted a number of persons from its management, as well as from Glavstroyinvest LLC and other affiliated organizations to embezzle large sums from the organization.

The detention of Tokarev in a corruption case was reported on January 19. A law enforcement source clarified that the criminal case was not related to his work in the Ministry of Transport.

Earlier, the source said that the identified damage in the criminal case of Tokarev and his accomplices is more than 500 million rubles.
