Kadyrov said that Yangulbaev's family is waiting for a place either in prison or underground

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, for the first time commented on his Telegram channel on the accusations of the former judge of the Supreme Court of the republic, Saydi Yangulbaev, of kidnapping his wife from Nizhny Novgorod by security forces.

He stressed that human rights activists called the incident a kidnapping, while law enforcement officers carried out "legal and coordinated operational actions."

“Be that as it may, I declare that this family is waiting for a place either in prison or underground. And it doesn’t depend on me,” he wrote.

He stressed that with his accusations, Yangulbaev deeply offended the honor of every representative of the Chechen people. In this regard, the head of Chechnya appealed to the Supreme Court of Russia with a request to take measures to expel Yangulbaev from the ranks of judges.

Earlier, a human rights activist from the “Committee against Torture”* (the organization is included by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the list of foreign agents) Abubakar Yangulbaev said that Chechen security forces abducted his mother and the wife of federal judge Saydi Yangulbaev.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he had seen press reports of the kidnapping, but did not know if they were true. He also stressed that dealing with this situation is not the prerogative of the Kremlin.

After that, Yangulbaev wrote down an appeal to Peskov, in which he confirmed the information about the abduction of his wife.

Prior to this, Yangulbaev told the details of the abduction of his wife by Chechen security forces. According to him, the Nizhny Novgorod police and the FSB helped the armed people, who introduced themselves as Chechen law enforcement officers, to pick up his wife from an apartment in Nizhny Novgorod.
