The head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Moscow Region, Tatyana Petrova, said that the victim is an employee of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the urban district of Podolsk.

According to preliminary information, the woman's husband, while cleaning a traumatic weapon registered in accordance with the procedure established by law, fired an accidental shot, as a result of which she was injured.

Police officers are taking measures to establish all the circumstances of the incident. This fact is under investigation.

By the way, according to media reports, the shooter is also a police officer, a colonel, and serves in Podolsk.
