At the same time, the number of people vaccinated with the first component against COVID-19 has exceeded 80 million people since the beginning of the pandemic, full vaccination with two components has been carried out 76.5 million times, according to the data on the stopcoronavirus.rf website.

According to the operational headquarters, the delta strain still dominates the incidence of covid: its share is 52.3% among new cases over the past day, the omicron variant and other strains account for 47.7% of cases. In total, the Omicron strain is present in 57 regions of the country.

Omicron, which is now spreading in Russia, is highly contagious and has a relatively mild course of the disease in the case of healthy people. The first symptoms appear within one to three days, among which doctors most often distinguish the classic signs of colds and flu - mild fever, sore throat, fatigue, rapid pulse.
