In the Belgorod region, a recidivist criminal Sergei Matlaev killed his beloved Elena Sushkova, who had once been his lawyer. Matlaev was tried for attacking a woman, Sushkova could not save him from prison, but during the trial she fell in love with the criminal. After the release of the man, they began to live together. As a result, after one of the family quarrels, Matlaev stabbed Sushkova to death along with her sister, who worked in the National Guard. Now he faces a new sentence. 46-year-old Matlaev and 52-year-old Sushkova met in 2007, when the former was accused of attempted murder. He attacked the woman with whom he lived at that time and cut off her leg. Sushkova worked in law office No. 1 in the city of Gubkin and defended Matlaev in court. He was found guilty and sentenced to prison, during the trial Sushkova fell in love with her client. She waited for him from the colony for eight years. When Matlaev left in 2015, they continued their relationship and moved in together.
Sushkova's 56-year-old sister, Baza reports, worked in the accounting department of the Russian Guard. According to one version, she was sharply against relations with a criminal. According to another, which the regional investigation adheres to, it was not just Matlaev’s criminal record, but that he was short-tempered and periodically raised his hand to Sushkova, about which she complained to her sister.
One way or another, Sushkova's sister suggested that she part with a suspicious roommate. According to one version, the woman agreed and wanted to leave Matlaev. But on Sunday night, a new quarrel broke out in the family, during which Matlaev beat Sushkova and stabbed to death. Then he decided to take revenge on her sister, who, in his opinion, was to blame for what had happened. He came to the woman in the neighboring village of Averino by taxi, went to her house, and then stabbed her to death, inflicting several blows with a knife. Then he returned to Gubkin.
The body of the sister was found first. Her husband told the police that the killer was Matlaev. The police came to his house in Gubkin and found him in the apartment with the corpse of Sushkova. The man was detained, the investigation opened a criminal case under paragraph "a" part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder of two persons). This time the recidivist can be deprived of liberty for life.
“Employees of the patrol service of the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Gubkin, Belgorod Region, promptly detained a man suspected of committing the murder of his cohabitant and her sister. At present, a procedural decision has been made against the detainee, ”said the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk.
The Investigative Committee indicated that investigators and forensic experts examined the scene in the village of Averino and Gubkin, seized evidence. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
