Russia (bbabo.net), - Four platforms will be ready this year to quickly create vaccines, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said at a meeting with members of the Russian government on the implementation and results of initiatives for the socio-economic development of the Russian Federation until 2030.

"In 2022, we will prepare four platforms for the rapid creation of safe and effective vaccines against new infections," she said. The work is carried out within the framework of the federal project "Sanitary shield - safety for health", which is aimed at preserving human health and protecting against infectious threats.

Last year, seven tests were developed in Russia for the rapid (in an hour) diagnosis of five infections, the capacity of 14 existing sequencing centers was increased and eight new ones were equipped. “In 2022, we will continue this work and expand the network for studying dangerous infections in other regions of the world in order to better and faster predict the situation,” said Tatyana Golikova.
