Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov urged Muslims to fight against attacks on Islam as a good example.

“There is no need to run and shout to people: “I am a Muslim!” You have to show by example. Now there are so many media around the world that speak very badly about our religion. Just show them that this religion is about good things.

This religion is not about bad things. She only talks about good things. It is about you, about people, about health, about everything. And when we [Muslims] succeed, our task is to explain these things to people, to show them that Islam is only good,” Nurmagomedov said at a meeting at the Michigan Miftah Institute.

Khabib ended his career in October 2020, defeating Justin Gaethje via submission at UFC 254 in Abu Dhabi.
