It is reported that all of these symptoms can occur as early as two days after infection. Experts also clarify that sometimes the signs of coronavirus make themselves felt much later. Sometimes it can take up to 14 days between infection and the first symptoms. At the same time, at the first sign of malaise, doctors recommend self-isolating for ten days and undergoing a test for the presence of a coronavirus infection.

Earlier, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said that when infected with "omicron" in patients, the upper respiratory tract is mainly affected, and the new strain does not penetrate into the lungs. However, it is too early to draw conclusions about the "harmlessness" of the disease. According to Popova, it is still impossible to say that the new strain will not cause post-COVID syndrome, other dangerous complications, since too little time has passed since the appearance of "omicron".
