Russia - Prosecutor asks for a life sentence for the defendant in the case of terrorist attacks in the capital's subway

Russia (bbabo.net), - Sentencing Magomed Nurov, who is accused of involvement in the terrorist attacks in Moscow at the Lubyanka and Park Kultury metro stations in 2010, is scheduled for February 4th. On Wednesday, during the debate of the parties in the Second Western District Military Court, the state prosecutor asked for a life sentence for Nurov.

The prosecutor's office also asks the court to satisfy the subway's claim for compensation for damage from explosions in the amount of 17 million 49 thousand rubles. In addition, according to RIA Novosti, two more civil suits for 5 million 203 thousand and 2 million rubles were filed in court.

Magomed Nurov was detained in Dagestan 9 years afterrorist attacks - in 2019. He is accused of committing terrorist attacks, illegal manufacture of explosive devices and participation in a gang. According to the investigation, Nurov was a liaison and took other members of the gang to meetings where explosions were planned in the subway. In addition, he hid one of the participants in the attacks.

Nurov's defense insists that the organizer of the attacks, one of the leaders of the gang underground in Dagestan, Magomedali Vagabov, forced him to help the terrorists.

As a result of two suicide bombings in the Moscow metro on March 29, 2010, 39 people were killed and more than 100 were injured.
