“We couldn’t get out of the conflict beautifully.” Who is to blame for the police fight in St. Petersburg

Three police officers got into a fight in the district police department in St. Petersburg. The police officer suffered the most - her arm was broken by a traffic police officer, with whom they had previously had a verbal conflict. As it turned out, this is not the first time the inspector gets into a scandal - three years ago he threatened the blogger with a gun. The ex-investigator of the prosecutor's office, in an interview with, called this behavior a "mental disorder", and the police union criticized the decision to dismiss all three participants in the incident.

“You insulted me, you spoke with obscene language”

^The conflict in St. Petersburg in the police department of the Vasileostrovsky district occurred between 24-year-old lieutenant of the criminal investigation department Alena Yudina and two lieutenants of the traffic police - 34-year-old Alexander Kolesnikov and 25-year-old Dmitry Perenyuk.

On January 31, the inspectors brought the detainee to the department and blocked the exit of Yudina's car with their car. At this time, the girl who was on duty had to leave the department on call. She asked the inspectors to drive away the cars in order to clear the passage. They refused.

A verbal conflict ensued between the employees, during which Yudina was asked for a certificate - allegedly an unknown person entered the department with weapons, while the employee in the “duty room” confirmed that she was an operational officer on duty. The girl eventually refused to show the documents, swearing at the inspector and pushing him, and at the same time talking to someone on the phone, insulting the inspectors and asking what she should do in such a situation.

“I will write a report about insulting a traffic police officer. You insulted me, you spoke obscene language to me. I’ll detain you now and take you to Gromov’s duty unit, and I’ll call the person in charge of the central office here, ”Kolesnikov shouted.

At some point, Yudina decided to leave the scene of the conflict, but traffic police officers urged her to stay until all the circumstances were clarified. At that moment, Yudina attacked Perenyuk with her fists, but he pushed her away. After that, the girl again headed towards the offenders and waved her leg, but at that moment Kolesnikov twisted her and threw her to the floor.

As it turned out later, during the arrest, the lieutenant's left arm was broken and his shoulder muscles were torn. The operative was hospitalized in the Mariinsky hospital. The remaining employees of the department detained and disarmed the traffic police inspectors.

H4 Rubbed employees and detainees / h4 As a result, against Kolesnikov, a criminal case was brought to exceed the authority (part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

“The suspect forcefully pushed her in the chest with his hands, as a result of which the victim hit her back and head against the wall. Then the suspect threw her to the floor face down and jerked her hands behind her back, causing physical pain and a closed fracture of the left humerus to the victim, ”the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained.

Subsequently, all three participants in the conflict were dismissed from service on "discrediting grounds" and with the rationale that their "actions are not compatible with the rank of an employee of the internal affairs bodies."

However, the former traffic police officers did not stop there - Kolesnikov filed a report on violation of public order against Yudina, saying that she was rude to the detainee, whom they brought to the department, and insulted them. He asked to bring the ex-operative to account under the article "Insulting a representative of the authorities."

In turn, Kolesnikov's partner Dmitry Perenyuk recorded injuries after a fight with a woman (closed TBI and suspected concussion). He demands that a criminal case be initiated against Yudina, since he believes that his injuries were the result of the actions of the operative.

Pointed a gun at the blogger

At the same time, it turned out that Lieutenant Kolesnikov was in good standing with the St. Petersburg police. The media wrote about him several times - he helped with fires, discouraged suicide, returned the money found, and so on.

But the traffic police officer still got into scandals. For example, in 2019, he pointed a gun at blogger and auto lawyer Denis Tatashvili, who runs the traffic police channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. His car, which was moving with numerous violations, was stopped by inspectors, but Tatashvili did not immediately react to the signal, after which an employee, just Kolesnikov, ran up to him with a pistol at the ready. The policeman, judging by the video, threatened him with a weapon and intended to handcuff the driver.

After the incident, Tatashvili wrote a complaint and was promised that the inspector would be fired, but this never happened.

“Mental disorder and occupational deformation”

It was possible to avoid what happened between the inspectors and the operative only if the traffic police officers calmly reacted - the girl was late and could afford tactless behavior, and the men decided to teach her a lesson, the lawyer believes and former prosecutor's office investigator Vadim Bagaturia.“What a particular traffic police inspector did is a completely obvious mental disorder and, in general, professional deformation. A video also surfaced showing the same inspector running up to the autoblogger with a gun. Then, in the place of leadership, it would be worth considering whether this guy is healthy.

Well, after the inspectors had a verbal conflict with the detective, they decided to show her power, ”the expert is convinced.

In his opinion, the request to show the certificate is just some kind of excuse that the inspectors came up with in their defense.

“Because, being on the territory of the police department and seeing a man with a holster on his belt, any sane person understands that this is a policeman. In addition, she was not detained by them, so they had no reason to dig into her with documents. It’s just that this is the case when the scythe found a stone, ”he said.

At the same time, the girl’s actions were also somewhat impulsive, Bagaturia emphasized. She, as a police officer, was obliged to behave more calmly, at least because there is a code of ethics.

“But what the traffic police officer did is clearly not a forceful detention. Subsequently, I admit that his actions will be reclassified as causing moderate harm to health, since, in fact, this is a domestic conflict. The second, most likely, will be charged with negligence and complicity, ”explained the ex-investigator.

Aleksey Lobarev, head of the Association of Russian Police Trade Unions, holds the opposite opinion. According to him, due to hyperload and lack of psychological support, employees could break loose.

“As a former operational officer, I want to say that the girl also had to show tact, attention, understand the patrol officers, who are also on edge - sometimes citizens show aggression, do not provide documents, pull out phones,” he said.

Responsibility, Lobarev noted, certainly falls on the shoulders of the operational officer, since she had to respond in a different way to their request to show documents and say: “Colleagues! Pay attention, here's my ID. I am an operational officer, if I violated something, then I apologize.

“It is a pity that she was not able to show operational vigilance, resourcefulness and get out of this conflict gracefully. After all, to present a certificate is nothing special, all citizens ask us for it, and we are all used to it. I am against layoffs. The fact is that we very quickly, in order to relieve tension in society, draw a sword and indiscriminately remove it, after which they are even more afraid to communicate, they quit, ”concluded the head of the trade union.
