Chernyshenko and Borisov discussed the development of radio electronics in the Russian Federation with industry representatives

The development of demand for Russian electronics and the development of new support measures were discussed on Saturday by the participants of the strategic conference, which was chaired by Deputy Prime Ministers Dmitry Chernyshenko and Yuri Borisov.

The event was also attended by Maksut Shadayev, Minister of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media, Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry, Oleg Belozerov, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Russian Railways OJSC, Mikhail Oseevsky, President of Rostelecom PJSC, and Sberbank First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board » Alexander Vedyakhin, General Director of the Yandex Group of Companies Arkady Volozh, General Director of PJSC Kamaz Sergey Kogorin, representatives of federal ministries and departments, the presidential administration, about 100 developers and manufacturers of radio electronics, institutes and research centers, as well as potential customers , community members and experts.

The main topic of the event was the development of demand for Russian electronics and the development of new measures to support the industry. The participants discussed the current status of the country's electronics industry, the best world practices, formulated the main priorities and challenges facing both the state and the entire industry.

“Over the past two years, more has been done in the microelectronics industry than over the past 25 years. And this is a great merit of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, thanks to whose efforts it was possible to convince everyone of the importance of this industry and the need to seriously invest in its development. But in the context of digital transformation, a delay in taking further measures to ensure the development of microelectronics will lead to degradation of the industry, forced purchases of imported digital platforms and equipment as part of national projects, and, as a result, the loss of the country's technological sovereignty. And the digital transformation of CII on an imported element base generally threatens national security. And our task is to prevent this,” said Yuri Borisov.

The participants, divided into 19 thematic groups, will form their specific proposals for the further development of the domestic electronics industry for 6 weeks. They will be announced at 4 strategic sessions.
