This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova. Last week, we recall, there was also a decrease: from 64.4% to 64.1%.

According to the operational headquarters for the prevention of the importation and spread of a new coronavirus infection on the territory of the Russian Federation, collective immunity is reduced due to the loss of immunity by Russians who were initially vaccinated and recovered more than six months ago.

In particular, it is specified that in Chukotka, which was previously one of the leaders, the level of herd immunity decreased from 80.2% to 77.8% over the week. At the same time, this indicator still exceeds 80% in five regions. These are St. Petersburg (85.8%), Sevastopol (85.2%), Karelia (85.6%), Murmansk region (83.5%) and Tyva (80%)

“I draw the attention of all residents of the country that it is necessary to get vaccinated and re-vaccinated, meaning protection from the severe course of the disease. In addition, given the increase in detected cases of COVID-19 and the significant number of people on outpatient treatment, it is extremely important to comply with all preventive measures and be treated in a timely manner," the operational headquarters quoted Golikova as saying.

Earlier, the Vector Center of Rospotrebnadzor reported that the majority (81%) of volunteers vaccinated twice with the EpiVacCoron-N vaccine retained antibodies after six months. At the same time, in the group of volunteers vaccinated three times, this figure is 98%.
