Russia - Kamchatka entrepreneur sued for a bribe of 2 million rubles

Russia (bbabo.net), - The head of one of the fish processing enterprises of Kamchatka can be imprisoned for up to 15 years for giving bribes to employees of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation for the Far Eastern Federal District, in the summer of 2020, a man tried to return a batch of sockeye salmon, which was confiscated from him due to the lack of necessary documents. The total weight of the catch was about 28 tons. He decided to "buy" him for a bribe of two million rubles.

A criminal case was opened against the fisherman under part 5 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (giving a bribe to an official through an intermediary for committing knowingly illegal actions, committed on an especially large scale). The man admitted his guilt and actively contributed to the exposure and prosecution of other participants in the "deal".
